Certified Veterinary Technician

Teresa came to us with 23 years of experience as a Certified Veterinary Technician. She graduated from  MIM (Medical Institute of Minnesota) in June 1996, with a Bachelor in Science degree. Having both  experience in general practice and critical care, Teresa has worked for the University of Minnesota in the  ICU as a critical care technician taking care of many of the most critical patients.

Teresa grew up in the small town of Maple Grove Minnesota with her 6 siblings and she was always  excited to help out with animals. Her first dog growing up was Cleo, a Spitz Terrier Cross that loved to hunt and kill mice; she was very good at it. Teresa currently lives in Maple Lake with her husband Bill  and her college age son Remington. Teresa has 2 dogs: Bud Jr, a Mixed breed Black lab, and Hunter, a Chocolate Lab. Her cat's name is Smokey Jo. She also has 5 fish that enjoy making Smokey chase them.

In her spare time, Teresa enjoys Camping around the Bemidji and Duluth area, hanging out with her  family and watching NCIS.

Sofia has always loved animals, and ever since she was a kid, she knew that she wanted to work with them. She has 3 four-legged friends at home: her dog Venus, and her 2 geckos Anguirus and Kind Ghidorah. Now between her pets, being a Veterinary Assistant at Victoria Veterinary Hospital, and volunteering at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center and the Animal Humane Society, she is living her childhood dream.
